Course Introduction

Teachers Train Teachers as a multi accredited teachers training provider offers this course with the approval of the NCFE Cache. The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning has been designed to provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school or college environments. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour and communication and professional relationships. 

To complete the course, students must undertake a placement of 60 hours, allowing them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. This certificate is ideal for individuals employed in primary, secondary, or special schools, as well as colleges, who are involved in supporting the learning of pupils.

Course Schedule

This qualification is delivered via a 2-hour per week blended learning program typically involves a combination of online learning and practical training or placement. This type of program is ideal for individuals who want to gain practical experience while still being able to study at their own pace.

The online classroom sessions will take place through a virtual learning environment (VLE) or other online platforms, such as video conferencing tools. During sessions, students can interact with their tutors and peers, engage in discussions, and access learning materials.

The practical placement component of the program provides students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained during their online learning sessions. This may involve working in a real-life setting, such as a school or training center, under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor.

Blended learning programs are designed to be flexible, allowing students to fit their studies around other commitments. They can be particularly beneficial for individuals who are unable to attend full-time on-campus courses, or who prefer the convenience and flexibility of online learning.

 

Course Fee

The tuition fee for the course starting from £999. Students that are in receipt of benefits might be able to receive funding through Low-Value Provision (LVP).

Course Duration

This qualification can be completed by students within a period of 6-9 months.

Part one – Academic Lectures: Students must attend all lectures and pass all 11 modules listed below, which are assessed entirely by Coursework.

Part 2 – Practical Experience: Students are required to complete 60 hours of practical experience in an educational setting such as a primary school, secondary school or adult education setting.  by Coursework.

  • Have a passion to work within education 
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate 
  • Be working at L1 Maths/English (Initial Assessments might be required as part of the admissions process) 
  • Progress on to the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification.
